Autumn Swing Pack
Autumn Swing Pack consists of 4 essential oils that help to alleviate the symptoms of a common cold: sneezing, soar throat, stuff nose and cough. It has eucalyptus, lemon, tea tree and thyme.
Methods of use
Rub: For colds with a cough or chills make a concentrated warming blend for chest rub. Mix 4-5 drops of each of eucalyptus, thyme and lavender. Apply to the chest and upper back. Repeat at least twice a day.
Vapouriser: Use eucalyptus, tea tree or thyme in a vapouriser at the onset of the cold and throughout the illness. Add a few drops of one of the oils to a handkerchief for inhalation throughout the day. Use soothing oil like lavender on the pillow at night.
Steam inhalation: Add 5-6 drops (in total) of eucalyptus, lemon, tea tree and thyme oil in a bowl of boiling water, cover the head with a towel and breath deeply for 5-10 minutes. Keep eyes closed. Repeat at least twice a day.
Bath: Take a daily hot bath. Add 8-10 drops (in total) of tea tree, lemon or thyme in 10ml semi skimmed milk and add then add in bath water. Soak for 5-10 minutes. These essential oils help to fight infections. Semi skimmed milk makes essential oils easy dissolve in water. If the essential oils are not dissolved and remain on the surface of the water they may irritate the skin. Eucalyptus can also be used to soothe aches and pains and boost the immune system.
Gargle: For soar throat, add 4-5 drops of tea tree or thyme to a glass of warm water, stir and gargle at least 3 times a day.
