    Basil Essential Oil has a fresh, slightly spicy, clove-like aroma. It awakens the mind, brings clarity of thought and steady the nerves.  It is a balancing oil which is both relaxing and uplifitng, making it good to steady the nerves.

    It is used to treat nervous disorders such as intellectual fatigue, nervousness, depression, tension tension and nervous insomnia. 

    Basil helps to alleviate stress related headaches, migraines and allergies.

    It is effective in treating digestive conditions such as constipation, nausea, votimiting and cramps. 

    Its emmenagogue properties makes it useful to treat scanty, normalising menses. Its anti-spasmodic properties help to treat menstrual cramps.

    Basil oil is useful in treating spasmodic respiratory conditions such as cough.

    It helps to fight debility caused by fever or lingering colds and catarrh.

    It assits in reducing uric acid in the blood, making it helpful in relieving  gout and rheumatism. It may be used to treat muscular weakness and muscular aches and pains.
